Took a couple of days to do the migration.

This week i’m gone watch mad
I orderede two new watches.
First one is this bad boy and the second is a casio A-168WG
(HX1026 from Hex)

(Casio A-168WG on eBay)

Yesterday I received my new headphones I ordered since my old once didn’t have a microphone.
After searching around on some gamer forums I finally found some headphones that where cheap and sounded good. The model I choose was Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3D Alpha.
And yes they are Mac compatible
Since I am on holiday this weekend I haven’t had time to fully test them yet. But first thought is they where comfortable and had a good bass.
All in all I’m happy with them so fare.
I also ordered 12GB ram since I already had payed for shipping. It’s a nice upgrade from the 4Gb I had before.

Installed the new ram in my mac, No more swapping to disk

I had this problem the last couple of months and stumble over this solution over at Serverfault.com
Change the ‘ Preferred Domain Server’ option in Directory Utility to an IP address, and the Mac will NOT do a .local lookup for the domain login. (Which is the problem when not on the LAN).
——
I tested the solution by connecting to a wireless access point that was not connected to our LAN, and login was a 2 or 3 seconds. Before doing this it took 2 mins exactly every time.
Try the following steps, I think its essential to re-bind.
1) Unbind from Active Directory
2) Change Preferred Domain Server to your Domain Controller IP address
3) Rebind to Active directory
